Forward Grain Procurement
The forward procurement programme involves purchasing next season’s grain harvest from clients.
Under the terms of the forward contract, Agrobudivelnyi Alians “Astra” LLC (ABA “Astra”) pays the client an advance, which is used to purchase agricultural machinery.
This way, the machinery can start working on the farm even before the harvest and the actual delivery of grain. Within the time frame agreed in the contract, the client delivers the grain and receives the remaining payment under the terms of the forward contract.
Depending on the client’s needs, the grain delivery price can be:
- fixed — set at the time the forward contract is signed;
- open — set according to the market price at the time of actual grain delivery.
The forward programme allows you to obtain financing for machinery now, using next season’s harvest for settlement.
